Re-Introduction

Hydrostream Vandal (14'6") with the Vandalizer paint job. Center steer setup, sea star hydraulic steering, 4" manual JP, hot foot, low water pickup, late 70s Evinrude crossflow motor.
She's a little rough around the edges, but solid overall. Boat was re-cored/stringers/deck (AFR in FL) in '12 and appears and feels rock solid.
Had to adjust the trailer setup because it was so light in the front, and have done a little tinkering with the idle stop to fine tune it. (Idle speed + shifting + hot foot takes a little getting used to)

Planning to work with the wife to add a rear bench (ideally something to incorporate the yellow/orange/red theme) and move the fuel tank just in front of my legs under the bow... can use a little more weight up there. Other than that I need some AB 1000 to give it a once over!

Forgot to mention, with the current setup (prop centerline at the pad) she allegedly runs high 60s to 70 though I haven't verified this yet. Also a rocket out of the hole. Current prop is a worked small ear chopper, not sure on the end pitch. May have to experiment with props in the future for fun!

Absolutely love the old streams!!! With the right setup that thing will FLY!!! Congrats!! If you're not already on there you better check out scream & fly.

I haven't pushed to wot yet, only about half throttle with the wife and kids onboard.
I did originally find her through S&F but I should see if I can remember my login info... Would be good to know if anyone else had experiences with a bow mounted fuel tank on this hull.

When you get on there reach out to John Tiger. He's a hydrostream guru & made his reputation beating up mercs with a rude. He was the outboard tech for hot boat magazine for years & if I remember correctly his first performance boat was a vandal. He worked for Hydrostream for years.
