This is a TOUGH CHOICE HERE
is anybody looking for a PERFECT condition 1978 Convincer I/O ?

Ive got one that I restored and covered here in the restoration forums under the title 78 convincer restoration.
The boat has been completely restored from top to bottom with no expense spared, this boat was restored correctly and not slapped together just to get through the project. Everything works well in fact the boat looks, runs, and handles better than when it was new. Im Getting married and need to focus on other expenses for now. I have not determined a price for it yet (it wont be cheap) If anyone is seriously interested I have a whole bunch of photos and videos of it. Thanks

Thanks for the compliments on the boat. I really never thought I would sell it. I have around $22,500 invested in her from trailer to custom boat cover. I know that probably sounds insane for a 1978 boat, but you really wont find much better sitting on a show room floor these days.

Let me be the first to say congratulations on getting married and... you'll be sorry for letting that boat go. Seriously, she's a real beauty but I get the feeling you'll have another one some day. Best of luck to you and your bride to be.

What a beautiful boat. I sat down this afternoon and read through the entire "1978 Convincer Restoration " thread. You did an absolutely first class restoration. I also found your details on Gel coat and Metalflake very helpful and informative. I hope to repair a few gouges in my Gel coat this winter. I also wanted to say I think you made right choice in keeping the Checkmate, especially with all the labor of love you put into her. I'd say she's a keeper. Best wishes.:thumb: Jim
