Sagiaw River 8/1

I will be out onthe river along with a hand full of other boats. The weather is going to be great, the beer will be cold, and I will have a smile on my face. :bounce:

I am not going to promise anything anymore.......this is getting really old. At least I've got the stereo crankin now.

I am going to try like hell though.....it' only a matter of whether or not I can get my intake back today.

On the good side of things, I actually finally figured out the REAL reason why the intake is leaking. the intake sits so low in the heads that it bottoms on the intake bolts before it seats to the gaskets. So right now, my bolt holes on the intake are being oblonged for more clearance to allow the intake to seat properly. I torqued it down hard enough to leave thread marks on the top of the bolt holes. So after all of this headache, I can finally see the light.

Anyone ever launch at Wickes? I bought a DNR Boating Access Site permit earlier this year that I use at a lake right by me, but I thought there would at least be one BAS launch site on the river.
Zilwaukee - $5
Rust Ave - $7
Wickes - $???

ill have the predictor out , the senator is down for a while, lower unit has a twisted input shaft and a broken props shaft...

gonna be a good time!!

If I can swing things to make it up there, maybe I can get a ride in the Predictor!

What time do you think you guys will be out? I'll only have a few hours to work with...

I used to feel totally comfortable when I lived there 3-4 years ago, not so much now. I think being younger and broke had something to do with it.

Thanks Matt,I'm kicking around the Ideal of heading up.But told the wife already that we might load up a pile of wood and head over to the beach tonite for little sweetty time.:brickwall: But 1 never knows!

1 or 2pm, Look for a yellow dodge with a yellow trailer because I'll be in and killed a few by then.If I find the coin,
