Its because people see the new checkmates and they look just like bayliners...... so they think bayliners are fast. Its a simple mix up.
 
Des moines Craigslist has a 1998 Bayliner speedboat for sale, LOL and LOL:rof: I guess Bayliner owners think 40 mph is concidered a speed boat, I had one once and boy was it slow and at least I never concidered it a speed boat.
