setback for 1984 enchanter

i was wondering how much setback i should put on my boat i like the 10" bobs machine jack plate is that to much or can i go farther?and what setback has worked the best?

I'v done a bit of playing on my enchanter, tried 6" with the CMC power jackplate, then added 4" spacers to get to 10". I made a 14" set back bracket for a freinds enchanter. I feel the Enchanter does not have a problem getting the bow up out of the water to start with, The 14" was a little overkill but the 10" is working out real nice. I still run almost full trim at wide open but I have more negative trim control for lower speeds and rough water. There are some pics of my set up on the Picture this forum, second page under F150GT.
I'm getting 74mph out of this set up with a Pro-V 200.

what pitch prop are you using i will hopefully be putting a 1996 or newer 200 yamaha on my enchanter and i want to be in the 70mph range and i only want to set it up once which is a long shot but im trying to get as much info as possible so please keep the info coming

My best all around prop is a 24P Spinelli 4 blade. There out of buisness so my next best prop is a factory 25P Yamaha, It has good top end and is very efficent(good cruising speed to rpm) I run a 26P chopper that the fastest but the all around driveability sucks.
I have a CMC power jack plate and run it up till I'm on the edge of loosing water PSI for best speed. (you gotta run high for top speed)
The Hydromotive mechanicle jack plate looks real nice, looks like it would be very easy to adjust on the water. I wouldnt waste the money on a plate that couldnt be adjusted on the water. After a day of skiing you find a boat to race but you have to go put it on the trailer to set up for top speed - I dont think so.
