Setting off alarm

I need help with an alarm gremlin. in the shifter throttle area underneath is a small alarm fed by a purple wire and a beige wire with lt blue stripe. The alarm is going off when the engine is running. I need help in diagnosing. I have no engine codes. The water temp, oil pressure and charging systems are all perfect. I changed the outdrive oil resevoir as I thought it might be the problem because it sets the alarm off if the fluid gets low and I thought the sensor might have been bad.Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

The beige wire with the blue stripe should be for coolant/over temp alarm. Try replacing the sensor on the thermostat housing. They have a tendency to go bad.
