Today Lake Murray was like glass, finally got the chance to open up a little bit. GPS showed 55 mph when i thought i became an airplane pilot. Little bit of chine walkin. At 48mph started to trim the motor up, started picken up good speed then started dancing. felt like if this:rof:and this :bounce: . Livin' in the south permits you to enjoy the water still and not have to winterize yet....after the fun:eyecrazy::eyecrazy: ride at 55 I put the fin back on the lower unit and gonna try it again tomorrow.

Love the pics...

Awesome shot from the bow :thumb:, I love the shape of the trimate hull from the front and your black/blue color scheme looks great.

I was in Columbia in August for 3 weeks of work and heard folks talk about lake Murray, it looks nice from your photos.

Enjoy

From the picture it looks like you are setup with single cable steering. If this is the case you'll probably benefit from at least dual cable steering... it should tighten it up and reduce the chine. Some setback would probably also help. I run about the same speed, but with single cable I really shouldn't. I'll be fixing that up over the winter. For safety's sake, you may not want to have the family with you when doing the wide open runs... just my 2c.

good info. i thought about adding a jack plate and dual steering for next season but we have decided that the interior will be first priority since boat is family first performance second. i did not get a chance to run again with fin on it. seems the head cold i had went to my chest and put me down for a few days.

Nice pictures, being from Charleston I use to fish bass tournaments @ lake Murray. Reminds me of the Santee Cooper Lakes down here.:thumb:

its a small world. i have been on this site for several months and didnt think that there were very many mates in sc. i have grown up near lake murray for many years and have been on the lake on runabouts and pontoons but never a mate. it definately gets attention. one kid came up to us at a dockside restaraunt and was facinated by the mate. he was on his families newer larger chapperall and didnt think much of it. it would be nice to start a sc chapter but i know i am too new to the site to do a whole lot of organizing but you never know.

Yes it is a small world, besides myself there are three or four mates that I know of around the Santee Cooper Lakes. I get the same responses, hey man nice boat, that's a big mota,do they still make checkmates and so on. I'm not sure if anyone has tried to start a SC Chapter, maybe we can get one started if not.

he's benn workin o/t so he can afford to buy the beer !! :rof:lmfao all you AB drinkers need to buy em in 24oz cans !

thanks for the invite big red, may have to set something up next season with lkn. maybe have a sc/nc chapter. didnt mean to leave top end of the carolinas out. maybe even squeeze in ga and have a southern states group. might even bring my 300 up there. it is the new camillion paint scheme, so you wont actually be able to see it cause it blends in:rof:.
