Solas 24" Scorpion Yamaha T1 Copy

Invader

15-1/8 x 24 Solas Scorpion. This is a Yamaha T1 copy. Has been run but is essentially in new condition. The blades have a huge amount of rake and it provides lots of bow lift. It has the universal square hub and accepts Merc flo-torque style hubs so it should fit pretty much any engine. Works great on a Pulsare.

Did you ever run a tempest on the same setup? I'm interested in finding out haw a scorpion compares on a checkmate.

I've ran just about every prop you can imagine. The Scorpion was much better than the Tempest. Lots more bow lift and about 3 mph faster. If I were keeping the Scorpion, I'd would have had the vent holes opened up to PVS size and maybe even added a second set of 3 PVS holes since the Scorpion did not spin up on hole shot.

I have an unusual setup that is hard to prop. Its a 2100BR, Yamaha HPDI 3.3, sportmaster 1.62 gearcase, 18" setback. I'm at high altitude, carry lots of weight, trolling motor on the bow, and 3-4 people. My best props have been a mod'd Rev4 and a Bravo. The Trophy seems to be the prop of choice but it was terrible on my setup. I'm playing with a Promax and Croxton Razor 4 now.
