STARFIRE My new favorite mate

204.enticer

New member
So after getting introduced to Checkmate's, I started looking at all the other models. I found my favorite so far is the Starfire. I like the Starflite also but I like how the Starfire is a bit smaller. Has to be an OB. But it seems to be that they are some what rare. Is this true? What years were they produced? Pro's, Cons? I really like the strait windshield. Anyone know any for sale. And how are they for big HP? I noticed a couple guys on here have some but not as popular as some of the other models.

Probably thinking of the Sportfire. Same length as Enticer but wider and deeper and rated for 140hp. Closed bow version of Diplomat. Great hull for small lakes. Didn't make many, very few ever for sale.

I had a 1989 starfire and it was 18ft I/O with the 4.3 V6 205hp and it got it pretty good up and down the river. It would do 50mph GPS with a full tank of gas and 4 people in the boat, and i could run on day long on a tank of gas. It was a great little boat, I had quite a few people comment on it and said that it was a cool looking boat. I had a closed bow and there wasnt much room to move around in it. But I liked the closed bow. http://022.jpg]

Ya that's what I ment :brickwall::brickwall::brickwall::brickwall: . What years did they make them? and which did they make more of inboard or outboard?

man i forgot how much more I like that old sportfire of BP than the predictors, just better lines IMO

I used to have a O/B starfire. it had a johnson seahorse 115 on it. They only made mine a couple of years but mine was a 1981 it was about 15ft long i remember.
