I have the price for your cable it comes with the helm too. It's the only way you can buy it.
Teleflex said a old helm may be worn out and not mesh with the new cable. Then they can't warranty a cable by it's self. which makes sense.

I'm not sure I get this. It sounds like Teleflex is saying the cable and rack come as an assembly??? My cable ends passed through the rack and two nuts and a cotter pin secured the rack on the cable end - very easy to remove. It's amazing that Teleflex won't sell just the cable.

The cable by itself for a dual rack list for over $500.00 even if you found a new one.
the helm is basically free with the kit I sent you. This way you have a all new system with no trouble by using a old helm and rack. So the cable alone is not cheaper from the price I gave you.
I replaced a dual rack in a 2001 trophy center con. fishing boat couple weeks ago 16" cable was $575.00. without helm. A single rack cable is about $160.00 when you go to dual it jumps up in price. So research it and let me know what you find out.

Hey groundloop,

Sorry I didn't realize when you posted pictures of your cables that you didn't know all single and dual rack steering cables now come with the rack on them. Some have the option with or without helm.
That's why I asked you to measure from end of cable to end of rack.
The helms are not much of the cost factor. In fact some cables that do have the option with the helm is only $20 more.
I know none of it is cheap so if you would like me to check to see what Uflex has for a system I can check for you tomorrow.

What exactly is wrong with your old cable? siezed? If so there are instructions on how to make a cable luber. Some guys have used these sucessfully.
