air pressure issue? or is something out of alignment? or were you following james bond when he deployed countermeasures?

I don't think that front tire was in the best of shape. The tread was great but side walls had just a touch of dry rot. It blew and took the back one with it.

Sorry to hear about the tire problems.....but at least you got to have some fun! Boat looks great!

Been a lot of trailer tire problems going of this year.

The current thought on trailer tires is to expect 7-10 years out of them regardless of the mileage used. I recently had a goodyear fail and it was date coded as a 2005. Keep in mind that on a tandem axle that when 1 tire fails, the other tire will be overloaded and my be damaged.

Nice looking boat. At least you looked prepared for the tire blow out. I lost one a few years ago on my old boat, no spare, no jack etc... messed up my sunday night.

Ya I was pretty prepared. When I travel I bring everything but the kitchen sink. I wonder if it's the record breaking heat we are having lately. I was running around 70 and they went. They were smoking hot. I went through all my bearings before I left and thought maybe I had a hub to tight. Not the case, I pulled em apart and everything was perfect.

Atleast you didn't let a couple of crap tires ruin your weekend.:poke: As far as the kitchen sink I'm pretty sure you had that too in the boats stabbin cabin.

i had the cords come apart, luckily not a blowout, just saturday night on the 251 trailer. about a mile before the launch. thats number 2 in the last month.. they were made in 2009.. and they sit inside out of the sun:mad:
looks like im buyin 3 this time..

Chris, what brand are those tires? :poke:Just curious what company has tires that only last 3 years so others can avoid them.

CARLISLE "Radial Trail"
i thought the first one was a fluke, now this one, (maybe a couple hundred miles later)..never had tires do this before.:pissed:
