There goes my summer!!

I am still here. Have been messing around with props. It seems between the addition of the 2" shorty lower and the few extra horsepower this engine is making, my 25" P5-X is a bit small. I tried a friends 26" Maximus, but didnt like the ride. While it cut back some 500 rpms and kept the speed the same ( 84 mph ), it changed the ride characteristics in a way I wasnt happy with. It ran bow high and actually broke free while jumping waves in the ocean. Not a good thing. I am certainly not a prop expert but I cant understand how a larger diameter prop can break free easier than a smaller diameter. It may just be the way this prop was labbed for my friend, dont know for sure. I called Julie @ Throttle-Up. I asked her about adding some pitch to my prop. She said she could, but they have a 4 week back log right now. I already lost a month with a broken engine, not gonna lose another waiting for a prop. I asked her about their new CNC props. She asked if I was happy with the ride of my Hydromotive. I said I was. She said I wouldnt be happy with the ride of their CNC props. It would cause the stern to ride higher than the Hydromotive. She suggested I wait until the winter. They are coming out with some new design CNC props that would fit my bill. So for now, unless I find something else, I am running what I have but not letting it run at WOT for extended time. I can still cruise at 3/4 throttle @ 80 mph. Good enough.
