TRV-17 conversion build

I took this TRV 17 as a barter for work I'm doing, had second thoughts this morning and he sweetened the deal with a motor and trailer. Now it seems ridiculous not to go through with the deal.
I'll apoligize now if I'm going to insult anyone, but the only thing I like about this boat is the hull. It looks like it'll make a nice fishing platform for lakes and inshore bay fishing.

Here's the plans;
Removing the top, repair hull, fair and paint white

Probably just replace the transom

Stringers, foam, and floor Gunnel to gunnel

Cut the top, leaving the original lines but cutting width to no more than 4"

Cut bow deck to stringer and make anchor locker

Fishing deck and Rod storage forward

Small CC with cooler hold downs in front

Live well and fishing deck aft, not sure if I'll bring it forward enough to use as seat for driving. Depends on how I think the center of gravity will be.

Not sure yet about the fuel situation, probably an above deck tank under the rear platform, Although a belly tank under the floor might be nice.
Probably depends on what I can salvage.

I like the idea of a jackplate for shallow water fishing, I was eyeing a used one sitting on the shop floor this morning.

Of course these all could be just a pipe dream if these boats wouldn't handle well or be dangerous to run this way. It going to be rigged with a Mariner 100, not sure of the year but it's more silver in color than the darker grey with orange ones I'm accustomed to
