I have a 97 zt 280 and was wondering if anyone else did out there. The boat has no vents to the engine compartment except at the back of the sun pad. I'm looking for someone that has put vents on a zt. Any help would be a appreciated.

You should have actually put it in "Ask The Experts" Thats where you usually get good answers from Rick (If you don't know him, he's from Bayview Marine) and he answers all your questions and can order you parts if needed...

Checkmates may not be the fastest boats on the water, but they are the nicest looking!

I actually know Rick, we are from the same city. I don't have a scanner at this so I have to what until summer to take some pictures with my digital camera of my boat. It has a custom paint job on it.

Greg... glad to see you made it on here! I Have a picture of your boat from last years poker run, I'll post it on here. The vents will increase air flow to the engine compartment, along with the vents is a "box" that directs the air flow that mounts inside the engine compartment to the backside of the vent. More air, a better breathing Mercruiser! I have a line on a bare aluminum set right now, we can paint them to match your "radical" paint scheme! Rick

Greg,

We'll be at the WBAY show this weekend. We are upstairs, no boats.. they didn't have room for us this year. We'll have boats at the Milwaukee show next weekend, and the Green Bay New Dealers Association show, one month from this weekend. Rick

I could tell. Your one sentence posts are fine, but when you type your paragraph like posts, it gets a little tricky to understand...
