Vintage Part Needed!

Hi Gang,

I desperately need a part for my old '65 Mark 110 (9.8 H.P.)

The part I need is the internal fuel line that runs from the carb to the fuel pump.

There are two part numbers on the microfiche which are both almost identical except one is about 3/4" longer then the other.

The part numbers are 30850 and 32230.

I've already searched oldmercs.com and eBay for months with no success.

If you can help let me know! :)

is this a rubber line? if so just take it to napa and have them hook you up with one cut to length.

Chris..just a point of clarification. You say 65 but a 65 is a MERC not a MARK. Which is it? I'm going to assume that you mean Merc since you said 9.8 hp and that was in 65. ( Black engine w/gold mercury letters) I'm pretty sure that you can get that part at Twin City Outboard in Shakopee MN. You can't just make a hose like that as the fittings are compressed brass ferrulle fittings on each if I recall. They should be able to help you, Their # is 952-445-4400. The other place you can try ( I have found many used old parts here) is Tim's Outboard. Try 218-682-2331. Both are great sources.

Good Luck!

Hi guys,

Groucho-

Yeah, you're right, I meant Merc 110, 9.8 H.P. I've been searching for an old motor to buy and I've typed Mark into eBay so many times apparantly I just can't stop now! :D

And yes, it's the braided type hose with the brass fittings on each end. On mine, one end is a 90 degree and one end is straight.

Basically the difference between the two parts that I posted the numbers for, is one is a bit longer than the other. Neither length corresponds to my line and I think that is related to the length of the line including the length of the threads on the end of the brass fitting. Mine seems to match the shorter of the two if I don't include the threads. If I include them, it would be too short. If I have to buy both, I'll probably just do it so I can get the old gal going.

I'll give the numbers you gave me a try and let you know how I make out.

Thanks for you help. :)

groucho,

Thanks for the lead on the fuel lines.

I called Twin City Outboard and a lady there claims she can order both part numbers, so I ordered both. Once they arrive at Twin City she said she'll call me and arrange for them to be shipped up to me.

I'll let you know how things turn out.

By the way, I called the number that you gave for Twin City and a gentleman answered and forwarded me over to Twin City at a different number. I'm not sure if he was affiliated with them or not. But as soon as I mentioned what I was looking for he asked if I was looking for Twin City and gave me a different number. I just thought I'd post that up in case anyone else sees this thread.
