WANNABE RANK AND OTHERS

Prolly been noted before but no "Exciter" status??? What, are we the bastard childs of Checkmate, or what???????

Chris.. 9714 posts??? Someone better come up with the 10,000 poster quick....eh?
The members picked the levels brother. That'll teach you for not showing up to meetings. :p

Chris, I understand that you have as many posts as you do. But anybody else that has 10,000 posts, in my opinion needs the name "Mr I need more to do", but thats just my opinion. I am sure there is an exception, but 10,000 posts consisting of more than "thats cool" would be tough.

The reason my post count is so high, is because when we started members couldn't post their own pics for the most part. The tools for posting pics at that time weren't what they are today.

So for a few years I posted most of the pics for members. And at the time it was easiest to do them one at a time because of the complexity of the manual coding that was needed to make the pics appear.

So the bottom line is, if someone needed six pics posted, that would equate to six posts attributed to my count.

I don't think we have too many members who are concerned about their post count and are running around trying to pad their count. I don't think we have any actually.

I don't think post count really can be equated to much actually, be it high or low.

If you look at the majority of the top posters on our forums, they're people who make a postive contribution to the forums.

And the other thing to keep in mind is that some of us have been members for five years. ;)

Didnt alot of the posts double when we upgraded servers?
I don't know if you remember, but when we moved to the new software, some of the first posts in some threads were duplicated.

So if you look at some of the old, old posts, you might see the opening post duplicated in the second post. Any time I notice one come up I just delete the duplicated post.

Gus and myself literally spent hours and hours going through most of the popular forums, thread by thread deleting the duplicated posts. We also went through and fixed up broken smilies, screwed up pics and eliminated the screwed up imported signatures etc.

So at this point, most of the duplicated posts have been deleted.

Happy to see my boat the "Ambassador" near the top of the rankings! Where it should be. ;)

Trying to get enough posts to get out of that wannabe ranking
