would i be able to fab some pipes to this?suppose to be stainless.and would i have to drill two holes in back of boat for the water to come out?what would be value just on these?

Scrap value I'm guessing. Those are useless for a sterndrive boat. They are meant for jet boats. You cannot just pipe those straight through the transom either otherwise you will have an engine full of lake water.

They are at least missing the risers that would bolt to the back of them to keep water from back flowing into the engine. And as Gimme said they would not work so well for a stern drive. Pretty sure the motor is too close to the transom to fit the risers in if they had them even.

believe these came off boat that had transmission, crusader.i see where water hooks to it.so over the top pipes wont work?for 250 i figured good deal if it let more air out.I figured i could bolt them on backwards then run pipes up,and back. Its just exhalst coming out of the hole.this one guy did it on a 351 motor,by turning manifolds backward, but looks funny because he wrapped pipes in isulator tape.Id hate to pass on them when they could be made to work.heck wouldn't mind using on another project.they gotta be worth 500.

how would they give ticket for them, there water cooled?how would it catch fire?I
must be missing something.guess the pipe that hooks to them needs water cooled also?then i would have to use that tape, maybe your right.I've never seen none up close.seems like hook pipe to them curve up,and over transom.drill to holes in transom for water to exit, and some kind sound reduction in the end pipes.

Just a thought. If you'd look at getting the correct parts you need to fix the boat up the correct way, instead of of trying to find stuff to cobble it together with you'll have something that actually works. You'll probably also come out money ahead, but that's just me. Jim

Yes, tails need to be water jacketed/cooled also. Single wall tail pipes are a huge fire hazard and are illegal unless it is a jet boat with extremely open engine compartment and usually those are water injected to help cool. The kevlar heat tape is not a proper insulating means for a boat exhaust. That un-jacketed exhaust hooked over the transom will be hot enough to melt/set fire to fiberglass if they are remotely close to it. Very Very illegal and dangerous if you are planning on running a closed engine compartment.

Those log manifolds you pictured have another section that is also water jacketed, that bolts to the end and contains an upward rising U shape pipe to keep reversion from happening. That added piece will not fit with those manifolds in your engine compartment. A transmission setup like they are meant for will space the motor ~12" more forward allowing room for them. Flipping them wont work either.

BTW nobody would pay $500 dollars for those. Old jet manifolds are a dime a dozen.

thats what i needed to know.manifolds i got alright, but some headers would look nice with open compartment.only ones i seen were for big blocks, and any small block ones 2,000 or more, well now i know.I kinda like these open engine bay boats, know there mainly jet boats, but shinny motor with pipes does look nice.they are atlas marine manifolds, figure they may still sell the rest of the parts.Because when i take floor out,and if stringers need work,i want to go ahead
,and do open engine bay somehow, with vinyl ect.or just put the top back on,I just would like a scoop, and over transom pipes.guess i need new boat.
