I'm new to the forum & a 1st time Checkmate owner as of a few weeks ago... LOVING MY MATE!

Wondering if anyone has any plans of having a Checkmate gathering this year? I'm located just N of Detroit and would be willing to drive a few hours and meet up with other mates for a fun day of cruising & whatever...

I've heard you've done the Saginaw River, sounds cool. Ive also heard there are a few cool lakes around the Irish Hills area. Any other cool places to launch and hangout? I know it might be a bit late into the season to organize a huge rally but I was thinking maybe the 2nd or 3rd weekend in August might be doable???

Just trying to see if there's any other interest at this point?
 
Myself, illmattic, thenerd, kct11, brian752.. frequent the river..there are dozens (really.. dozens!!) that i see quite often on the river that i have no idea who they are.. i would almost go on a limb & say there are more 'mates in the saginaw area than just about anywhere...no bs

back on track.. im sure something can be put together, or you can come up anytime.:cheers:
 
Are north of Detroit or over on the east side. I'm located just south of the D. I prefer the big water of Erie, St Clair or the Detroit River. Out in the hills you have Whamplers Lake, its good sized but always ruff but nice beach area. And Vineyard Lake is smaller with shallow spots. I prefer the Halfmoon and bruin chain in the Chelsea area myself. Welcome Jeff
 
I'm a new Checkmate owner as well, Im down in the Jackson area. I would be up for meeting up with some people one of the weekends in August if it was being arranged. Name the place!
 
Welcome everyone . A Checkmate party would be cool in Michigan. Lets see if there is some more interest and lakes or rivers most would like to visit. Sounds good ProSA lets do it. :cheers:
 
im always in for a meet. my checkmate stays up at higgins lake. got a sunsation and a glastron down state that i use on st. clair and cass lake

hey dudes! I'm in the pinckney area and would love to meet up never been with other checks yet!! ill have to wait till next year, the Army has me on a beach with no water if you catch my drift!
 
Anyone hitting Saginaw river tomorrow. I was think about launching near Zilwaukee Bridge and heading towards Bay City. Is that the best area to go for a rip?
