Where do you guys shop for parts?

Where do you guys buy from? Local, online or a combination of the two? If online where from? I just got this unenchanted enchanter and it looks like it will be needing some parts. Where should a boat newbie shop?

ive had good luck with the guys at bayshore power. here in new jersey. good prices, fast shipping, good advice.

Its hard to say these days. The local guys cant compete with the online stores. I wish they could. AND even some of the online stores cant compete with the jacks on ebay for some of the oddball stuff.

Depends on what I (or you) are looking for. A lot of the stuff I buy is online and I've shopped a number of different sites. CP Performance, Hardin and Eddie Marine are good for the higher dollar or custom stuff. I've had good luck with iboats.com and overtons.com for the basics and all the stuff you need to be legal. And as stated, ebay works for the hard to find. My combo is old and oddball so finding stuff for it local is a bit tougher but I try to when I can.

I will only buy parts from somebody that I can talk to in-person, that can speak English correctly, and that has the brains to install the part I am ordering. That way I know its the rite part when I get it.

If a place I call can not do this I will not buy. I dont care if the parts are half price

Try doing this for any older outboard items. Most of the Merc dealers are complete fudge ups.

Well on the advice of 83PREDICTOR, he is local to me, I went to a local place. They have good prices, about like i have found online and the had what I was looking for. Plus as said above they know how to install what they are selling. I like the fact that I can help them stay afloat while not paying more than I need to. Some of these other sites you guys have listed look pretty good to.

ok as a let say parts consumer.....I deal alot with venders...one of my fav's is PRO MARINE......they are great people know there poop and have staff that has been around so they can help you with most any problem you have or guidance you may need....the rest are whole sales only but in case your woundering even my cost is more than alot o the ebay'rs but i don't buy the amount they do either........
