Will a 90's looper powerhead bolt up on an '89 GT175 crossflow mid?

I have a 1989 Johhny GT175 crossflow. I'm looking for another powerhead for it due to the issues I'm having - posted HERE. I have a guy who has 2 new complete powerheads... 1 200 hp looper and 1 225 hp looper. Both are mid 90's vintage I believe. He claims that I can bolt up a looper powerhead to my crossflow GT175 mid/lower.

Is that possible? Will it bolt up? Can they use the same wiring harness? Anything else I should be aware of?

Thanks.

The looper blocks will not bolt up to a cross flow mid. If you post over in scremandfly.com allot of the guys over there can help with motor tech questions also. As far as the wiring harness as long as they both have the round red plug they will work. If you get a newer style block with the square connections there is a harness that will convert from the round connector to the square but they are hard to get.

Thanks Costa. That's the same response I got over at S&F. That's what I thought...just wanted to be sure.
