Windshield frame foam insert & gasket?

I used the 3/4" black foam that Home Depot sells, it has peel and stick adhesive on one side, I think it's supposed to be for doors etc but works and looks perfect. I think it comes in rolls of 20' or so. I didn't replace the gasket under the windshield, it seems fine (for now).

fairly certain the older windshields were supplied by a company called DAK which I think went out of business , Doug started using Taylor made sometime around 09 or so my 08 ZT280 has a DAK and so did every mate I owned prior to that. hope it helps but maybe the trim is universal http://www.thomasnet.com/profile/01...v=TN&heading=94182201&searchpos=1&cid=1284218

It was Campbel up to about 2001, then Jdak from then until present. Only some of the models started getting TaylorMade at the end. Jdak should be able to get you some replacements.

seems like checkmate used a few windshields , i kinda like the older sleek style JDak but there all nice if there on a Checkmate.

I don't know the facts on when CM used which windshield manufactures but I do know that my 1996 2100 has a Taylor Made.

The rep said that the screw cover foam is no longer available and the vinyl replacement is the first one on this page. 8229040

I asked her to send me the spec sheet and confirmed that it would fit my frame and would probably look pretty nice.

However after looking it over it looks like it will not sit flush or just below flush like my foam does. It looks like some of the vinyl will sit just past the frame. Also the price is a bit high at $1.30 per foot plus a $25 handling fee on top of shipping and that doesn't include the gasket yet. So for desired look and cost I think I'm going to go with the foam I found earlier. I like the way it looks now and don't want to change it.

Anyone else looking just call with your model number.
