Windshield ID

I purchased a new windshield (front and curved acrylic side sections - both sides) for my 1997 Persuader about 3 years ago from Mike at Checkmate. It was made by Campbell Manufacturing Co. and they are no longer in business. Mike told me that this windshield would fit my Persuader. When the pieces arrived, I checked them and it appeared then that it was not the correct windshield. Called Mike with my concerns and he said that this was the only windshield that the Persuader used. This spring, I finally decided to install this windshield, but when I set it next to the original, it wasn't even close. It was about 3-4 in. too short and was raked more than mine.

At this point, I have no clue what model Checkmate it fits, but the pic below has the number and date of manufacture on it. I have tried looking at different pics of Checkmates to see if I could see any windshields that looked similar, but I haven't been able to pin anything down. If anyone can help figure out what boat it fits or can measure your windshield, here are the dimensions. I can also take more pics if that will help.

Length - bottom of frame is 57 1/2"
Length - top of frame is 52"
Height of frame (where attaches in center) is 17 1/2"
Height of frame (where attaches to rear wing frame is 15 1/2"

Since I can't use these two sections and sooner or later someone will need one, I would like to find out which boat it fits and then see if anyone needs a replacement windshield. I will make someone a pretty nice deal if interested.

Negative, it will not fit. It is 3"-4" too short in length (see pics) and has a little too much curve to it.

My windshield (front section and middle/curved section measure

Front section: All measurements are approximate.
27" across the top
27" across the bottom
16" tall at center of windshield
16" tall where it meets the curved middle section

Curved section:
27" across the top
28" across the bottom
16" tall where it meets the front section
13" tall where it meets the side wing section

Side wing is 46" long and 13" tall then tapers down.

Placed the curved section of new acrylic over the current glass. You can see in the pictures just how much shorter in length the new section is.

Not sure, but it looks like this may be for a Convincor, as some of the ones I have found on here look like they have a longer side wing glass frame than my windshield does. Do any of the Convincor models have a little narrower beam than the Persuader?

Does anybody need any windshield parts?

I still don't have a clue what model Check this windshield actually fits, but I would surmise that some of you might need some parts for your windshields one day. This is an new old stock Campbell windshield (2 front and 2 curved sections) that was supposed to fit a 1997 Persuader 261 per the factory, but it doesn't. Reason I bought it was to replace the curved middle sections of lexan that had stress cracks.

Since I sold my Checkmate, I have no use for this anymore, but I hate to junk it. I know someone will have a need for frame pieces, glass or rubber some day. It cost me right at $200 plus shipping, when I ordered it from Checkmate and I have had it for about 5-6 yrs. I think I still have the soft rubber foam piece that mounts between the frame and the boat. The pieces have been stored inside and have been covered and all is in good condition.

So, if someone would like some spare pieces for a windshield I will sell it for $50 plus shipping. Shipping will be around $100 give or take $20. Otherwise I am going to have to junk it out. I don't want to do it, but my wife wants it out from under the bed in our spare bedroom and I have no other place to store it.

Give me a couple of days, I'm going to pick up my Persuader 219 from the dealer on Friday. I'll do some measuring and see if it will work.

On a side note, when I called CM (Kip), he told me to be careful around the windshield, because they were no longer available...
