Winter storage question

Active member
I store the boat inside for the winter but I do fog the motor and out a stabilizer in the fuel tank. My question is the power head, I see guys wd40, silicone spray I know Yamaha makes Yama-lube. Do you guys spray the power head with anything? I never have. It’s a 300xs merc

Its a good idea especially if you use the boat in Salt water. I use CRC Marine Silicone. It helps reduce corrision and may help if you ever have to work on the motor and make help the wires last longer. Also dont forget to change the lower unit oil.
