WTB: Looking for a 15 to 17 foot Checkmate in CT

Hydra Sports

New member
I live in Connecticit and am looking for a Checkmate that is 15 to 17 feet long. (Need to store it in my garage)

Would prefer an open bow but as long as there is a back seat it is not nessisary.

Pretty much I am looking for a very clean machine that will need zero work and is basically a turn key boat. I have no problem driving some distance after many e-mails and photos and if it is too far away I don't mind meeting someone 1/2 way.

If any can be found that are very clean out there I know this is the place to come look.

Feel free to e-mail me at smcolli@snet.net and I will get back to you that day!

Hydra… this post made me laugh and I really needed to reply. I have been checking in around here and looking all over for the EXACT SAME THING! About the only thing I would have changed would have been the boats I have and that I’m in the Chicago area, otherwise all the same… 15’ – 17’ to fit in the garage, prefer open bow (must be OB), have 2 fishing boats (24’ hard top and a 15 aluminum), now looking for a fun boat, etc. etc. etc!

Anyway, sorry I have no boat to offer. Good luck in your search. I’ve been finding the only thing that comes close to comparing to a older Checkmate are a few older OB Baja’s.

And… if anyone knows of one in the Chicago area out of Hydra Sport’s range, please let me know as well!
