Y pipe for a 1988 454 ALPHA

I have a 1989 Maxxum that so far this year has received a new couplar transome assembly outdrive and assorted other parts and peices. I now know I knew nothing about boats before buying this one and it has cost me haha. Since it is in peices I purchased the Eddie Marine Silent Choice bought a Y pipe. however the marine mechanic is telling me it is the wrong Y pipe because it doesnt measure right well I was told that is the part number I need, the catch is that the part number is not on the Y pipe only the casting number. can anyone tell me what the casting numbers for a Y pipe for a 1988 454 are. I know the part number is suppose to be 807130A4. The casting number on the one that I purchased is 861229-C.

I have a y-pipe sitting here from a parts boat I bought. Where is the casting # located so I can see what mine is? I am almost certain they are pretty universal from v6 to small block to big block. Mine is from a '89 small block boat with alpha drive. I would sell it if it's the one you need.

Just checked and there are no #'s there. It's still bolted to the transom assembly so it's hard to move around. I can tell you my flappers don't spring shut so there may be an issue there. I will look at it some more tomm. it's time to clock out and go home for the day.
