Yamaha v4 c115 powerhead removal

Are the power heads always that tight that some break? engine is a fresh water only. I want to replace the motor mounts. Replaced reeds, rebuilt water pump and had heads off no problems so far.
Not sure about using solids yet was told by someone they cause a lot of vibration. Any thoughts about that?
All comments are welcome.

Yes solid mounts will transfer more piston vibration to the hull, but are one of the bet mods you can do to reduce or cure chine walking. If you boat doesn't walk, then you don't really need solid mounts.

Did not word first sentence right was talking about bolts breaking . Any thoughts .
Going to give it a try soon. Not sure about mounts yet . Would like more input. My mounts are shot. After mounts are changed going to add 4 to 6 inch Jackplate .
Thanks to all that reply.

was a easy job only real tight bolt was top mounting Bolt into the yoke. heated the yoke and with a little work it came right out. Used hydro tech derlin mounts. Also put on a 4" versa jack on.

Waiting for a warmer day at raystown Pa. Then see how far i can jack it up with out losing water pressure. will let you know. I have the top 2 sections blocked on water inlet.
