Today the river was very calm..Now was really the time to do some seat time en experience speed !!
I previously compaired the speed on the speedo w/ hand held gps.At 76 mph on boat speedo, the gps showed 75 mph, only 1 mph off (that is pretty good)..
But today w/no gps : first run 78,2nd run 80,and after a few attempts got 82 and then 84..
By the end of the afternoon the speedo showed 90 MPH.. :eyecrazy:
Wow !!!!
Wish i had the Gps to compare

Was this in the Persuader ? or the Pulsare ?

At 80 i believe it was 5400,But after that dint notice,to busy trying to control chine walk...

with a 1.62 ratio, 5400 rpm and 0% slip you would be at 79 mph. so far the best i have seen with the same prop is 78ish at 6100 rpm. sounds like you did have some fun, but i am not convinced that you were running close to 90 with that prop.

Do you have the 1.75 or 1.62 gearcase? With a i.75, a 25" Trophy at 5400 should be right at 65 mph. With a 1.62 it should be about 71 mph. Maybe your tach is wrong. 80 mph with a 1.75 should be about 6300 rpm's. My 24 ran 77.4 with a 25 Trophy at 6100 with a 1.75 gear.

2100 w/250xs,1.62 and trophy plus 25,10 in set back ,motor and jack plate all the way up,should be at what rpm and mph ??

Claupie, congrats! That would be a very impressive speed with a 250XS. To help the chine walk, I've found out on my Pulsare that if I raise the Jackplate all the way up (once on plane) and keep the trim tucked "in" while pushing the throttle forward..and just bump the trim a little at a time (once past the 68-70mph mark) you can get to "fly" the boat on the pad without the chinewalk. Allow the hull to do it's thing (accellerate) without alot of positive trim. There seems to be a very fine line on the Pulsare 2100 where the hull breaks free and runs up on the pad...it's like someone lit the afterburners and kicked you in the ass!!! On my boat it's right at about 69-70 mph and then it blasts (very quickly) right on up to 74+ and just carries the bow at a very nice attitude without alot of trim. I'm running 7.5" of setback with a Trophy Plus 26 on a stock 225Xri. I would love to break the 80mph mark but I don't think that's possible unless I start wrenching on my motor.

NICE!!! Congrats

My hull don't "fly" until the 80 mark. I havn't gone much past 82mph cuz' I am a P*$$Y. But I push it a little more each time out and gain speed little by little. I need the winter to add some more "goodies" for safety. Then I am gonna really push the bitch.

If you are going upper 80's with a 250XS I am very interested in what the 300 will do.

Again, congrats.
