I have been looking for thr right boot th follow up my chaparral. and fall in love with this checkmate!!!

it's an 186 pulse with a 225 yamaha!!

I am from holland and think this is the only one in the country

That should go pretty good with a 225. Post some pics if ya can.

:welcome:
You may be happy to know that there are 2 or 3 other Checkmate owners from Holland on this site. A couple of Senators, at least one has Big Block in it, and I think there is a new Pulsare with a 300xs.
Have fun looking around the site you'll find them.
Rob

the pics...., the motor now is a yamaha 225 2stroke , they it should go 124km/h

Wow, 124Km/h (77 mph) Thats pretty fast!! :thumb: what mods have been done?
What prop are you running?top RPM. setback/jackplate etc..
( sorry if some of that is in the pic for some reason they wont show on this computer)
I have a pulse 186 with a merc 225. I am having trouble getting it past 65 mph. But I have a lot of setup/prop work to do. I just dropped the motor on last year just before winter set in.I'v only got about 8 hrs of seat time all low rpm break in except for a few wot runs.

I have not used the boot self yet, it is very cold in holland and everywere is ice.....
But the previous owner told me this specs, and i even know the owner before him.
the 124 was with an everude 225ho( delivers 250hp) but this was not the absolute top with this motor.
the motor is a rebuild moter with 3 hours on it so first i have to use the motor with care

The 225 is know equiped with an 25p prov(this spring i wil try out some different props, mayba a 27p is possibly to, so if i calculate the 70mph is easely done... the boat has a set-back(don't know the sice) 4'' i think

Good luck with the new boat!!, I love mine,Make sure you post you results of the testing, every bit of accurate info helps out,
I am shooting for 75 mph this summer,
Everything here in New england is coverd in ice too, I hope to get on the water by early May. I have to get my hands on a couple of props to test. I am going to try to start with a 24p with a lot of bow lift(tempest maybe) then work up from there to see where I can get a decent hole shot and still have enough top end to make me nervous!! If you can, post some pics on here, there doesn't seem to be too many other 186s around.
