" For Sale" Dont be a fool TWICE

Merc,

I am in the boat (no pun intended) that you were in last year. Actually, I didn't stop at the kitchen/dining room.:brickwall:

I probably won't get out more than once or twice until July 4th, but it should be worth it. Your pictures are motivating.

Thanks.

Yeah lets go beer and food on me all day. The people you asked are full of BS. Lets ''RUN" the South end of the main Channel from rusty rudder to queens landing or the other way around. Saturday or Sunday at 1pm your choice. I guarantee you will say your boat sucks and you want a bigger boat.

That is the only lake I go to and I have had 17,18, and 20 foot boats and it was horrible on the weekend. I have had water sometimes splashing up on the bow of my Convincor.

Ok, so now we're picking the busiest time, only on the weekend, in the middle of the summer, in the bad areas. :shakehead:

Sure, you need a minivan to carry around a load of people, but I'd rather run around in a Camaro SS...

Anyway, I get your point, though don't agree. I was told the same thing with our 1600BR out in AZ where the monster boats run around. No problems, ever. Sure, a huge hog would run through the big waves easier, but then you have to run around a huge hog, store, it, tow it, etc. Don't get me wrong, I see the purpose and point of the bigger boats, just not what I want right now.

You are correct Big Red!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys win! I'll keep it under 10mph on a busy Saturday! :thumb:

lcboater has been on Norman in the summer all week he knows how it was and most of his time was on the north end.

Make it fare anytime in the summer where the water is warm enough to swim in. Ask SCT why he likes to go out on week days only in the summer. Not weekends.

"Ask SCT why he likes to go out on week days only in the summer"

.......I'm a wimp and I'm afraid of PWCs!

BRed, you should buy the boat back for 5K less then you sold it to the guy....

So what was the GPS speed on that boat? Someone here knows for sure.

The boat will run mid seventies with no problem with a stock 24P bravo 1. anywhere from 5700-6000 rpms The boat now has a old 26P on it my good 24 got a vibration in it so I stuck my spare on it. Prop testing is needed to acheive max speed.

Last prop I tested was a labbed 28P and at 5100 it hit 76.1 before it got out of control and kept blowing out. The engine is good for 6000 rpms.

I just got sick of prop testing besides that 24p is a killer prop just to nail it on a roll on and take off. The lake I boat on is rough so your in and out of the throttle and that 24 always seem to jump back up to speed fast. I would rather run mid seventies all day than spend a grand on a prop to run 79 on perfect water conditions once in a blue moon.

Come to think of it SCT... we did go out on a weekday! :D

I can't tell you the last time we went out on a boat on the weekends. I'd say 2 years ago, and only once. Friday's are the best! Enough people for fun, but not busy enough for issue dropping the boat in. Might head out this weekend though since I'll have the interior in.

I am not knocking your boat and yes the ease of a smaller boat is nice. I put in countless times on Saturday morning and pulled out Sunday noon. But the best part of the whole trip was always the night runs and the Sunday morning breakfast run.

When me and SCT would meet up it was the week days because that's the only time you could get some good runs in without flying threw the air. I was not big on wake jumping or getting my boat beat to death by chop.

:thumb: Lets grab some beers sometime

I'm game! Let me know when. I may go out Saturday or Sunday this weekend. If not, I'm down for whenever. I see SCT is ready to go as well!

:bigthumb: I guess its my turn SCT bought them last time but I still think he owes me a case or two.

Not this weekend but after that looks good I think :bigthumb:

Didn't mean to come across the wrong way, just saying that LKN gets rough on week ends because of all of the traffic.By the way,if Big Red is buying the beer i am on my way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The weekends are busy everywhere but that doesn't need to stop you from high speed runs and having a blast. Here is my recipe:

Step 1: Put in relatively early in the day on Saturday--make high speed run to raft off.

Step 2: Drink and eat yourself into a stooper while rafting.

Step 3: Don't move boat until you have spent the night under the stars plundering the old lady in the cuddy.

Step 4: Drink lots of water and take 2 tylenol before falling to sleep watching a movie on the DVD.

Step 5: Get up and skinny dip with wife to clean up and get your bearings.

Step 6: Get on radio channel 69 and round up offshore friends for a rendezvous point for breakfast

Step 7: Haul a$$ across a glassy lake to breakfast location trying not to hit any fishermen.

Step 8: Bloody Mary and breakfast.

Step 9: Reck the men's restroom so you don't have to use the porta potty later.

Step 10: Repeat steps 1-10 as many times as possible!

Checkmate-less

I had a 253.....sold it....now own a '99 Mariah 212 Shabah-Z BR.
It does 58 m.p.h......need more speed!!!
Now I want to sell this boat and get back to a offshore performance cuddy.
