" For Sale" 92 Starliner White/Red/Black 200hp Yamaha

Very nice! I don't know if I would bring myself to drop 13 large on that though. Maybe if it had a relatively new 250 for 300 XS or ETEC. FYI Sam I think 68 is optimistic with a 200.

Yeah, he's lucky if he's seeing 60 with that motor IMO. He's never going to see that kind of money. Maybe $5K or $6K if someone falls in love with it. I think it's been redone. No way it came with gray carpet.

If that motor is under rated like knarloid's 150 Yammie is then he might see 65 with it mounted on the transom but I think 62 or 63 like mine runs with the OMC 200 is more like it. Knarloid's Liner is the cleanest all original one I have seen (not even any small cracks in the splash well) and he paid under $5000 for his but he got a hell of a deal. Mine could use an interior and has some cracks starting by the splash well and I paid more than he did but mine did have a fresh powerhead on it. Good luck with it Sam. If you could talk him down to around $7000 I think you'll be in the right neighborhood.

lol...no way I"m buying this thing without selling the other two first! My wife would KILL me...as in REDRUM! I'm almost laughing thinking about it.

Like I said, I'm not buying this thing. I have 1 too many boats as it stands right now. The Pulsare is defiinitely the best out of all them, but also worth the most to anyone looking for one. After BadBK's experience in getting rid of his project, I'm pretty sure I'd have to give the project Starliner away to make it disappear.

Well if you gonna give away the liner can you put on the truck with the other boat heading slightly south?:poke::D

:rof: Ain't gone yet! Still lookin PUUURRRDY wrapped in a big ass blue tarp chillin in the driveway. :irked: Plus, I've got waaayyy more work done to mine than you do, you'd prob have to pay John to take it away.

IMHO knarloid's is just as clean and is all original. Oh, and it was like 1/3 the price.
X2- Knarloids was ridonculous newlooking and cheap (are we sure he's Irish and not Scottish?).
Also, based on knarloids 150 Yammy speeds I would vote that it's possible this guy saw an actual 68 mph with his Yammy 200. My Merc 225 has seen 72 GPS and I'm convinced an extra 1-3 mpg could have been milked out before somebody or something expired. Suddenly.
Based on what I've seen it's entirely possible that a Yammy 200 might match a Merc 225.
Differing opinions?
One thing I'm sure we'll all agree on: Sam's wife would kill him. Probably in his sleep.
BTW-Starliner HoeDown Memorial Day Weekend!! Sam, you in? BOTM, Baby !!!

I live in Winnipeg but have not gone over to check that one out. Boats sell for a lot more in Canada. If you look it has Minnesota numbers on it. The used car dealers bring them up and resell them here. He probably paid 10k for it. $300 travel and $1200 tax crossing the border and then $200 to certify the trailer for Canada. So he would be into it for $11,700. He had it listed for 15k at the beginning of the summer and now has dropped the price to 12,900. There are so few Mates here that he is going to have to find someone that knows what he has got. He will probably have get 12k for it and break even. Sam, the price might not be so bad when you figure what you are going to have into yours when you are done. ;)

I have mine listed for 15,500 with the 250 Etec. http://winnipeg.kijiji.ca/c-cars-ve...-Etec-250HP-Only-130-Hours-W0QQAdIdZ404592118 I didn't even post it here on the forum... people will think I am nuts. But up here I am in the ball park. I have offers on the motor alone for 10k. I would rather sell it as a package. If I sell the Etec I will need to find and rig something else.

BTW That boat would show 68 on speedo with that motor (62-63 GPS) on good day.

Man I wish I could afford your boat right now Mark, I always liked it, and it's one of the few liners I've seen with the high windshield that would accommodate a convertible top.

Mark, I saw yours on there...I posted mine on kijiji (the Pulsare not the Liner) as well. I can understand the price on your boat with the new motor. Also, I hear what you're saying regarding the price tag on finishing mine, I've come face to face with what it will cost to finish the Liner in my garage and it's a scary number.

I went and looked at it today. It was originally sold 10 minutes from where I grew up at a place called Simonson Marine. They went out of business a while ago. The boat is nothing short of amazing. The guy who's selling it is a wheeler and dealer that somehow stumbled onto it at some sort of sale. He tried to make it sound like it was on Craigslist, but there's no way it was missed by the entire board. Not a stress crack anywhere. THere's a little spot of dock rash on the front right hull, but has been somewhat fixed. Looked to be original gray carpet. Vinyl is bright and clean. Spalshwell is really clean. MOtor looks almost brand new. Like I said...amazing. I offered him $5000. He laughed and said no. So...I left. I don't care how amazing it is....$12,500 for a 20 year old boat motor combo is too much. For a 20 year old trailer it also looked damn near new. Amazing.
