1995 21 Checkmate Pulsare LD.. 90+ mph boat

Just get a 21 Liberator and you can run over 100 anytime.

True Randy, but it kinda takes something away from the thrill factor knowing that it's been done time after time and all you have to do is pay for it, launch it, point it in the right direction, and hang on! My self, I love the Lib's, but there is something about the white knuckle feeling of a v hull right on the edge and tears rolling down your cheeks that just can't be replaced. I honestly don't know which is the bigger rush, running the big number that you've been working for, or being just shy and knowing you have a few more rides to see it!

There is a lot of truth to the fun factor of driving a vbottom. I think most any boat has give and take characteristics. Biggest advantage going to a cat is running through chop, side wind gust, etc... at a good click. Mine is steady as a rock until a high gust of wind or trying to run it fast in anything over 1- 1 1/2' chop. I thk that holds true to any vbottom trying to run flat out. Fun though...

If there's 1 thing I wish a vbottom was better at, is being so limited by water conditions to run it flat out. Although, I normally boat in a 3 mile wide river by my house that can get bad quick!

Great looking boat at a fair price. If I wouldnt have just bought an Audi and a VW I'd be looking pretty hard at getting into something like this. Even if I had to settle for 90.00001 mph. Good luck with the sale!

Just get a bigger one and you don't have to worry as much, cats are more stable at speeds for sure though. Very nice boat btw, I feel bad that your for sale thread got dragged through the mud, these guys should have pm'ed you if they wanted to argue. Good luck on the sale I'm sure it will make somebody a great ride

Thanks guys... The disrupted thread does not bother me too much, i am not totally sure i want to sell it anyway? I am normally over on the scream and fly site, although this is a great site for Checkmates!! The plan is to be at the Suwannee run next Saturday if anyone would like to see it.

Look at all the action this thread got

The title of the thread did most of it, but if you've got a good product to sell, there really is no such thing as bad publicity.
Nearly every active site user knows about this boat now, If they like what they see and are really looking 2100CD the negitive posts won't stop them.

If I was selling it, I'd be happy for the exposure:thumb:

Nice boat, GLWS

Ha... I guess the title does. Just stated what it runs, I had it out today with prob 5-6 passes in a row between 90.3-90.4. This was with my 4 blade. I was restricted to a 1/2 mile long creek today because the river was too rough. I feel it would have run 91 out in the river with better water conditions because it was pretty COLD out! around 55 degress. I just purchased a cheap ebay iphone mount to point at my gps, so hopefully i'll have it by next weekend to provide actual PROOF... Thanks

Videos

If someone would like to post these for me, I have 2 from today. 90.0 and a new best of 91.1...... Over 90, just like the past 20 times I've attempted a top end pass. Thanks.... Sean

rev limiter

Sean, you can see your previous top speed at the bottom of the gps 90.7 at beginning of those runs, now 91.1. I'm sure with less wind 92 and cooler weather (73 here today) is possible. Get that rev limiter removed!! I want to see 93! I'd prob just keep your motor and actually do a few mods to it and see what you can get out of it, or let's throw my old 300x on there and see what it will do, might as well add that extra 4" of setback too! You should also try to get in touch with someone who is an EXPERT on iphone/mount/editing, your vids suck.

Thanks Nathon, I know they are terrible videos. It was a bit windy out today, 72 deg, 65% humidity. The 90.0 flat run was the first, I wanted to get a feel for it. The second video of 91.1 was taken within 10 minutes. I hope for more in dryer, cooler air! :thumb: Sean

Ha, I agree on my camera skills! Nothing wrong with talking about boats, videoing boats, etc...I guess I get more enjoyment out of driving boats!
