Cruising flat and level problem

All,

New member here but owner of a 2005 ZT 230 since 2007. Very low hours due family and health but now getting back into things. Only about 100 hours. My 230 ZT has a 6.2 MPI MercCruiser with Bravo 1 outdrive. When I plane out and just want to casually cruise at lower speeds, the boat lists badly to starboard or port.

Regardless of how I balance the load or trim tab settings or the trim of the outdrive. Between 23-35 MPH it just won't stay level across the beam. It looks weird and feels very uncomfortable riding.

Has anyone had this experience with a ZT? Any suggestions? Thank you.

I have a ZT240 (quite a different boat), but I have never experienced any listing issues.

Was the boat stored outside? Could there be water trapped somewhere?

Are there any of those tournament type of ski boats around when you experience these uncomfortable roll tendencies?

Plum Crazy purple, 512 stroker with fuel injection, 430 HP at wheels. 5-speed manual, and serpentine belt system for accessories. Looks stock until you look close. Nut and bolt hand built by Muscle Car Restorations in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

OOPS! This is a boat forum, but we do love our muscle!:offtopic:

Has it always done that? How many blades on the prop?
Is it possible that that's just the side to side tippy feeling of a deep vee?
I know that my deep v 23 ft Check doesn't feel quite as flat and stable side to side as my Check with less vee. Although a 4 blade prop made a big difference.
When was all the extra horsepower (weight and torque?) added?

Always has done it. Not just a tippy feeling though. It rides with a quite a list over. It looks screwy and feels uncomfortable. I guess it's just getting itself to one side of the V or the other.

Maybe a 4 blade would help.

Always has done it. Looks like it wants to ride on one side of the V or the other. I don't want to have to cruise at 40 mph to keep it level. The rides go to quick that way also.

Could be I do need a 4 blade. Any recommendations?

25 pitch prop on 320hp sounds like alot of prop.
Maybe your fighting the tourge of the big prop at cruise speeds?
