Delaware River Rodents

A great day today out on the Delaware.
My recently widowed FIL arrived on Friday night to us for the next 3 weeks and we're planning on treating him to a few 'Checkmate' days out on the water during this time.
Had a great day with Demag and Sim and families today. The threat of a thunderstorm proved to be nothing fof the hours we hung out.

I managed to get in a ski after before we headed for home and tried to get my 7 yr old up on her new skis.We made a valiant attempt (together), but she needs a bit more time to get used to that initial drag in the water. Next time!

Yes, it was great to see you guys as well. You Suck-you really should come out next weekend on Manhattan.
Otherwise we might not see you till next summer. That would be bad.. (insert sad emoticon here).

Sim,
I got up for a loop after we left Demag & Co.
Erin wanted to watch me first before we tried together for her first time.
So I mounted the GoPro on the front of the mono ski and went for a blast....
Getting into the water with help from her Grandad
Got set up with me behind her and we both would get up at same time. At least she was smiling at this stage!
Unfortunately due a miscommunication with the driver, we didn't get full throttle to get us out first time and after 2-3secs of being dragged, we then got up. But by then she lost her skis under me and although we both were up (one of my hands was holding her up across her stomach), I decided we should both let go and try again. But she was a bit spooked by the experience, so by the time the boat came back around, we decided to leave it for another day.
Of course typically the GoPro failed just before all this!!
