Well kids, here is what will be following me home one evening this week!
2000 Powerquest 380 Avenger
-Twin 502 MPI with captains choice
-Bravo drives with twin hydro steering
-All the other goodies along with big roomy cabin with full head, microwave, fridge, and sink
-1999 Manning tri-axle trailer

I wish she looked as good in person as these old pics used in the ad, but won't take long to whip her back into shape. The price was right to take the project over a clean turn key one. Previous owner built a new house and lost interest/time. Boat sat and it shows a bit. Needs some buffing and vinyl cleaning/conditioning but mechanically seems just fine other than needing some peace of mind preventative maintenance like sea pumps and oil. I'll have her whipped into shape in a couple weeks. I wont store it at my house as it wont fit in my barn without adding on AGAIN. However the marina I have a bunch of friends at will let me do trailered indoor storage at a very reasonable price. I just pull it out and take it to launch next door.
First things, need to order a mooring cover, have cockpit cover repaired, get more 3M compounds (I'll need it). I'll do maintenance like sea pump impellers, spark plugs, lube/oil/filter, drive oil changes. Should be good to go then. Engines have high hours but run well. Previous owner cruised at 40 mph mostly.
It needs new props as current 28p Bravo I's are mismatched (one labbed, other stock) and slip badly at high speeds (25% even considering them as 27p @5000 rpm). X-dimensions on these boats are aggressive and like Hydromotive p5x props so I will track some down here shortly. Still ran 64 mph GPS with bimini top in up position under the storage boot, a faulty trim indicator so couldn't tell if drives were balanced trim, and flat water. She should run close if not a bit above 70 mph with this mild power which isn't to shabby for something with 6' cabin headroom. I will also be removing the Corsa baffled exhaust tips soon. Far too quiet! Can hardly tell when exhaust is switched in the cockpit.
Sad thing is when I was driving it, it didn't feel that big. But the 4' cruiser wake and steady 2' chop on the lake told me otherwise cause I didn't feel a darn thing! Must mean that it is just the right size.
Oh, almost forgot to mention a rolled in a used set of BMax outdrives that will be installed next year after the engines are refreshed a bit. Stay tuned campers.
