    MX-16 Video Restoration with Tim

Epoxy & Glass In Canada FYI - Smithcraft in Etobicoke has a large sellection of materials for boat restorers. http://webhome.idirect.com/~edd/smith.html Noah's in Etobicoke has all sorts of material for boat builders too. My MX-15 (1972?) was an almost identical restore to the project you...

    Checkmate 1972 MX-15?

MX15 Back In the Water The MX15 went back in the water this past July after receiving a new transom, floor, seats and seat riser, and paint job. The 70 Johnson pushes the boat along at a nice pace - about 38 MPH. No leaks and the autobailer is awesome. Did some skiing behind it - hardly any...

    MX-15 Motor Height

Thanks for the suggestions on motor height. I was able to get the engine lowered a 1/4" further with a little persuation. I installed a set of Nauticus SX Smart Trim Tabs as well. The boats runs without cavitation and negligable bow lift and porposing. I can crank the tilt up quite a bit too...

    MX-15 Motor Height

MX-15 70 Hp Johnson Not meant for top end - just touring about at 3/4 speed - 25 to 30 MPH. Maybe some skiing. Motor seems to sit high. Cavitation plate about 1/2" above bottom of the Vee on the transom. Will this cause cavitation? Motor Won't go lower - bracket hits the top of the transom...

    Checkmate 1972 MX-15?

I have the top of the boat off and have got most of the old plywood transom off. Do you recommend using pressure treated plywood from Home Depot/Lowes/etc?

    Checkmate 1972 MX-15?

Finally getting started on the MX15 Restoration The MX-15 made it to Ontario this July. I finally have it in my garage. I have to replace the transom, repaint it, find seats, and redo the floor. I am currently removing the rub rails to get at the rivits so I can pull off the top. The old...

    Checkmate 1972 MX-15?

Just bought a 1972 15' MX-15? out of Fort Worth TX. It's in pretty rough shape - but what do you expect for a boat, motor and trailer for $200. It is red, Evinrude 60 (1981? twin). No seats and stripped to the bare fiberglass on the interior. I'll be looking for mounting information for the...
