It's been a long slow winter with recovering from back surgery and what not. But looking to get back at the boat. I want to wet sand and buff the bottom. Haven't done anything with it since I sprayed it. I started with 600 today. Just wondering how high should I go? Also what should I use to...

    MX-16 Video Restoration with Tim

80 grit sandpaper by hand will do. I took my 6' level on the transom and bow to make sure the boat was level before doing anything and kept on checking it to make sure it was through out the job. I'm a carpenter so I like to measure everything. I found no mater where I measured to nothing was...

Idk about going in the water. But I wish we got the boat runing sooner in the day. The sun was going down as we were going out. It really was a nice day.

I would use a angle grinder to grind off the bondo like stuff holding the edge of the floor left. Then clean it up with a sander with 80 grit. Or that's what I did. I used about 6 gallons of epoxy from http://www.uscomposites.com/ it seams like that's the cheapest and what most used on here...

    MX-16 Video Restoration with Tim

Looking good! I'm liking the videos. Don't know if you got the top off yet. Or if you were cutting the last little bit of the rivets with the tool you made. I would use a little bigger bit. You may have to end up having to cut them cuz they may just spin. Looking really good and liking the shop...
