Setback on the Enforcer

This fall/winter I'm removing the tube gil bracket and will be adding a 12" or 15" setback bracket or Jack Plate like the second picture below. As most of you know I have the OB version that was closed in to look like a I/O. Thanks to Kct11 and JSmitty for the measurements from the bottom of the V-pad to the top of the splashwell (23"). My question is where would I locate the Jack Plate holes on the transom for a 25" shaft fish n mota?

As high as you can. They are sey up for a 20". You need to stack 2 jack plates to get the extra height. If the transom is solid all the way to the top, then mount the jack plate with the top of it at 28" above the bottom.

Thanks boatman!! I replaced the transom last year so I can go up high as needed. I wasn't sure of a starting point. The other item is filling all 18 holes that held the gil bracket but that's another thread to start.:D

But that Gil bracket is sexy!!

While this is true, its old, outdated and no adjustments!!! I plan to add a hydro on the setback as well. :D What I need to figure out is the minimum setback that will allow the motor to trim up without hitting the transom. Then i'll work outward from there. I haven't decided yet on the setback, either 12" or 15" to start.

Why not just bolt the jackplate to the gil and install a 20" midsection motor. From what people say the enforcer and 2400 do love setback.

when you change the brakcet, does the background scenary come with it? All you need then is chics in Bikinis and some Coronas.

NAAAA, thats to easy, Rob loves the itch of glass!

He's right I can't leave anything alone!! :bigthumb: Plus while I got the boat apart, the dash needs some attention, maybe gelcoat the floor and then fresh paint from the bottom up!!! Oh and I haven't done another resto this year!:poke:

My Enforcer didn't like set back. Anything past 10 inches made it want to bounce alot. I was at 14" and it could be controlled, but it was still there.

Just picked up the manual JP from Hotdaddy27, I managed to keep the monies flowing in the checkmate family. :D The setback bracket is from another supporting member here Grasa.. Thanks guys!! I'll start the upgrade during the winter with pictures!!!:bounce:
