Picked up a 2008 ZT 280 last fall, quite an upgrade from a 1988 Chaparral 187 xl. Still learning how to run this type of boat after growing up with smaller boats. Any advice is appreciated.

That's a good looking boat. I've only had Checkmates and small aluminum boats so I'm not sure how to help with advice exactly. They say these are drivers boats and take a lot of input. Its not a boat you just push the throttle forward and go fast. Less than 40 they like to porpoise a bit (checkmate bounce). Over 60 they start to lighten up in the arse and feel a little unstable. This is usually because one hasn't been there before. When and if you get over 70 is when the fun starts in my opinion. Seat time is your friend with feeling comfortable.
