It’s been awhile since I’ve checked in so I figured I’d report in with a review of my BRX 2400. It is an awesome and incredible boat, it’s a 2012 model that I bought in 2014 from a dealer in Alexandria Bay, NY. Brand new with 9 hrs on the clock and came with a Merc 300 Pro, had it trailered down to Palm Beach and it’s been a salt water boat ever since, I upgraded to the Merc 400R in May 2015 and from then on I’ve been tinkering with it ever since looking for faster speeds and making it moe better 
which is hard to do cause it’s almost perfect. Added some storage compartments behind/under the seat bases which after doing the cut outs also gave me access to the nuts holding down the 12 point rotating seat base which rusted out after a while, I’m on my 4rth set now, used stainless steel ones but they become wobbly and looser than the regular steel ones but still better and cleaner looking than the rusted out regular ones. I replaced the small boarding platform with 2 large ones on either side that I made out of aluminum a few yrs back I also made a 9’ long Bimini top and it’s the perfect size and with extra support legs makes it sturdy while cruising 50-55 mph with no buckling. The original upholstery was great and lasted till the beginning of this year (10yrs) when I had it all redone. Installed a small Garmin GPS shortly after I bought my BRX and upgraded it last year while down in the Florida Keys with another Garmin but with a slightly bigger and better screen, my small GPS showed 3297 total traveled miles, a few hundred of those where cruising to Freeport and Bimini in the Bahamas. Some wear is showing on the cleat bases, the red anodizing is starting to flake as is the chrome on the Livorsi shifter quadrant, the gel coat is holding up perfect. The original steel trailer crapped out after 3 yrs under my ownership, i replaced it with a custom built 6 bunk dual axle swing tongue with reverse lights Ameritrail aluminum trailer. My 400R has been good to me, oil & filter changes gear lube changes thermostat and poppet valve changes has kept my Merc flawless, I’ve replaced batteries 3 times and I now operate with one main/ship battery, the one on the stb side I removed and in its place I installed a 10 gallon water tank I made for our fresh water shower system. A few months back I modified my boarding/dive platforms and made them bigger, cut the top off of its base and replaced it with a bigger 24” wide and 28” long top, now I can take a shower or fish off the stern and take the cowling of my Merc while on the water. Next project is upgrading the stereo system, it’s been good all these years but it’s time for a newer louder system

I still run the 2400 and the 2800 but haven't done much to them. Great to hear you guys and the Checkmates are doing good!
