Put in some hard hours this week (including Friday off work) to push myself to get the Convinsor (it has an S on my plate) ready for a Saturday launch on the Delaware.

After several coats of gelcoat on the cockpit floor and vberth, I was fitting the new interior all day Friday and applying reg numbers at 11pm by head torch with the missus for moral support! :poke:

Still needs some tidying (few bits of carpet, new bulkheads and side panels, but that won't stop me using it now!

Rolled out of home at 7:30am for a Lacrosse tournament near Princeton for my daughter. Plan was to leave there at 12 and get to the ramp for a 1-1:30 launch.

ChuckB was in the neighborhood and stopped over to help out and see the boat.

Knarloid family photo before we left the ramp.

Everything went great apart from 1 motors trim not responding from the helm switch (had to set at the engine before starting). Typically it started responding as we pulled it onto the trailer! :brickwall:

Stopped over to High Tides for some food and a celebratory beverage.

The best part about it is the family love the boat. PHEW! :thumb:

Holy Ape Hangers Batman!!!! :thumb: Those control levers tall enough for ya???

:rof::rof:

It's just as well I'm a tall chap. This was how the PO had them set up.
I haven't considered moving them yet as I'm actually getting used to them up there.

I need a lot more seat time in this (I love that as an excuse to go boating) to get used to the handling and where I want to move controls to ultimately.

Can't wait to see it in person. Laura will probably be riding in your float all summer.
Please allow it. So she doesn't push me to go bigger.

My pleasure! (Interpret appropriately/inappropriately at will) :D:thumb:

Bwah ha ha! Will share in person. Away from the kids.
Looking forward to seeing the new float. And your family!
Love from us to Mandy and the kids!
Adam finished his first year of school. We're bankrupt. (insert sarcastic emoticom here. Twice. I'm moving to Ireland. ) Especially considering who we're "voting" for this year.

Surely Adam only needed 1 year anyway so he could dropout, create a killer app and make millions from 99c downloads....

Let's go to Ireland via Canada - at least we can get there on the Hudson ;-)

I took off the throttle box this evening to see if I could drop it a few inches. Space is there to drop it, but the starboard throttle would require a 3/4-1" spacer to clear the gunnel which brings the unit too close to the steering wheel to allow the right hand to use the wheel.

Guess I'm staying as I am for now.
Not a big deal.
