Welcome to the board !

I'm sure that some of the guys with the big power I/o's will help you out with some input.
The boat looks great to me.

No way that boat goes 95 mph like the ad says. Even if it did, it would be a death trap without hydraulic steering and decent tabs. I would say you will see a true 75 from that combination. Yes, even at that speed I would want good tabs and steering. I am not knocking this boat, that's still a great speed for a factory boat. The deal seems good enough for a closer look.

I did find one thing a bit unusual about the pictures. It may just be that the picture was taken at the wrong angle, but.... In the picture of the motor I see thru-hull exhuast. The picture of the back of the boat doesn't show the tips. Now it may just be that the tips are high and the swim platform is blocking their view. I would ask for more pictures.

I have a 95 235 persuader and i called the check' factory and spoke with mike combs. he said my boat should run 74 mph with a 25 pitch mirage plus. I have a 454 mag with a carb.
being that the boat your looking at has a injected merc 500 i would bet its in the high 80's. 350/3200 then take the square root of the number X 225 =74.4 mph(my boat)
485/3200 square X 225 =87.5 (the one your looking at) Plus the extra speed the spedo sees would be in the 90's I would ask if it was a GPS speed that they are claiming.

Good looking boat, NADA has the boat at 27,500 with no options. So with any extras the price is in the ball park. The speed is a bit high from what I have seen but the speedo never fibs.

ULTRA NICE BOAT!!!

But the "speed" is a load...

I'd put money on 80mph MAYBE and that's with the right prop! Work it into the deal and bring a GPS with you. Tell them for every MPH "less than the stated amount" is -$300 per MPH slower... That will give you at least $3000+ off the asking price!

Another thought is a NEW one... that thing is now 6 years old, if your taking a loan... do the math on the rates...a 2005 may be possible for a few bucks more???

The speedo in the pictures is only an 80mph speedo, so how is he coming up with that speed. Its a great looking boat, but if they are telling that story with a straight face then I have a bridge for sale......cheap
