" For Sale" 2004 Checkmate Pulsare 2100LD

Just got in from running the 250 for about a hour. It runs fantastic and I am really impressed with it. It is set back to 13.5 inches where the 300 was at 11 and it helps a ton ......... I had to trim the 300 a lot more to air it out, to the point i feel it was hurting the performance. I wish I had the energy to put the 300 back on it and have some fun.

Any way, went out by myself....wish I had some one with me to balance it out as it would have went a lot better. On the bay and there was a "calm chop” Don’t know how to describe it light wind with a very random 1 foot rollers allover and not lined up like waves. Basically the water was moving up and down all over 1 foot it was hard to read and drive it. Ended up running 78.7 at 5300 rpm with a lot left in it. The speedo was climbing 1 to 1.5 mph every time it refreshed when aired out over 70, just was not able to comfortably keep at it in the conditions. That was with a 27p and 1.62 sporty.

Why is this still in my garage. The old sidwinder out back is gone, am I going to have to put this one there?

Price is $19500 with the 250xs on it, I can't edit the original add. I would still sell it with the 300 for more money.

If it was a BR I'd be all over this thing. Even if it's not red. Great looking boat and AWESOME performance AND a fabulous price.

I put a few more hours on it today and had a blast. Ran 83.1 with it, and easily ran over 80 every time. This is with the 250xs.

With the season over, I will sell it with the 300xs on it for more money

Sell it or put it on the 2400. I would lean more towards sell it, and get a new 300xs for the 2400.

I think the difference would be pretty significant/dramatic. With a 250XS I'll bet your LD could break 85 mph. Bob from Roberts Marine ran a 2000BR with a 250XS on it a couple years ago and I think he pushed 83+ mph with that combo.

According to my cuz who sells Mercury, the manufacturer has to be with 10% of the motor's advertised HP. so the 225 Pro XS is 225 + 10% = 247 the 250XS is cranking out 275hp...At least that's what I'm told.

Other stuff, the XS has solid mounts upper and lower for greater stability where as the Pro XS does not. The Pro XS will run on 87 and the XS needs 91.

I'm sure there are more differences than those listed above...some who actually knows what they're talking about will come along shortly and if you already knew all that...sorry!

I have heard from a few sources that the 05 is the one to have. I guess it is a little "hotter" then all the other years....for whatever reason.

TTT. last time out went 85.6 a couple times ran 85 all day. I would like to keep the 250 and put it on a bass boat.... might be a little flexable on the hull and trailer but will sell turn key.

I talked to you earlier this year about this your boat but timing wasn't right. You say "might be a little flexable on the hull and trailer". What is the price this way?
