2013 Keuka Lake NY 'Mate Get-together

Looking forward to it-am planning to launch in Penn Yan, may need some direction on where to head when we leave the channel. Also, will that ramp handle a 22' I/O? Or should I rethink the launch site? See ya in a few weeks! Chris
 
22 ft will be fine for the channel its pretty shallow around the turn by the old PY boat house so some trim is a good Idea should be fine the lake is up to summer level now my Mate is about 12 house down from were you come out of the channel so you can probably follow me.
 
Thanks-I will get in touch as the day gets near, set up meet time. I don't want to wake up everyone on the lake too early!
 
Well this Saturday is coming fast, who all is still in?? Unfortionatly the weather forecast isn't looking like a perfect day, possible spotty showers but not supposed to be a wash out. It's only Tuesday now so hopefully the forecast changes for the better as the week goes on, fingers crossed!

By the way,as it turns out, this will be the maiden voyage with the new motor, so I don't actually know what it will do-should be interesting!
 
Sorry folks but I'm gonna bail on ya. I've been caught in the rain in my little Vmate before and it yes, I will melt. If you ever get up to Sandy Pond let me know. Thanks for the invite and hope to run with you next year.
 
Weather doesn't look to bad, we might get lucky!

Chris, when you come out of the channel go to the right, just a little ways up Keith's (kdebolt) boat is bright red, can't miss it! Follow him down the lake and I'll meet up with you guys down my way! Can't wait to see and hear your Mate!
 
Guys, I really wanted to make the trip but the weather is threatening a 40% chance of poo. I could haul up there and want to but it's a seven hour trip. I'll look again in the morning and try to convince my other half.

Anybody up at the lake yet? It's pouring rain in Roch. now. I am still planning to drive down -should be leaving in about an hour. Any better insight into weather in your area? Not a wash I hope. Chris
 
Well I'm looking at the radar right now, the band of showers that's hitting you up in Rochester is a little ways off to the east of us here at the lake, hard to say exactly when they are gonna hit us but the line is headed this direction unfortunately :brickwall: . Tough call man, if you make the drive down maybe it will clear off after this line of showers pass by, who knows. We are here anyways, hopefully we all can get out there today at some point.

DropTop, I don't blame ya man for not making the trek up here today, long drive for nothing if it does get washed out! But, we are up here pretty much every weekend, anytime you wanna come up and hang out just say the word!

What the heck- had nothing else going on & it's a nice? Day for a drive.probably be a little later than 11. If it's really crappy there's gotta be a bar/restaurant we can crash in for a while. And if it's a total wash, there's always tomorrow-i'm dying to run this thing! We will be there!
