Today I fixed up the glass work as needed... surprisingly it was in pretty good shape! (at least to me
) After getting that straightened out I moved onto the main floor. I used poly fair to smooth out the floor. I basically skim coated the entire floor to level it out. It didn't seem all that bad until I started to level it out. I used a combination of 4" spackle knife, 8" trowel, 16" trowel and 24" trowel. I got it pretty level and sanded it out after to smooth any imperfections.
While waiting for things to dry, I installed the decals on the engine cowls and clear coated over them, and got that last couple coats of urethane on the ski locker hatch.
The last thing I did today was get a coat of gel coat in the ski locker and back section, starting where the back seat will go and worked towards the back. Once I get a second coat on those areas, I will set the gas tank back in place.

I will get pics tomorrow to share with everyone
I'll stick to building sh*t with wood and get someone else to do glass work for me. For some reason glass work gets me beyond frustrated. The resin isn't drying fast enough, it's geling up too quick, the glass looks good so I walk away and come back to find air pockets where there were none before and so on... frustrating
this just wasn't my weekend! If anything else could have happened or gone wrong, I wouldn't have made any progress. First, had to take the wife out for breakfast, then we get back and I get started on the boat when she comes running outside screaming the dishwasher is on fire!! I jump out of the boat and run into the house to find smoke coming out of the dishwasher and it smells like burning plastic. I open it up and find a plastic lid fell down onto the heating element. I get that taken care of and head back to work on the boat. Shortly there after I find I'm running short on resin, so off I go to West Marine to pickup a quart. I get home and I'm working on a final sand and cleanup prior to gel when it starts to pour rain. I once again jump out of the boat to put all of my tools away.
