" For Sale" 87 Playmate with 150XR2

As with all my stuff everything is top notch unless otherwise stated! Toying around the options here on a different toy. Nothing spared on rigging of this boat. Hydraulic steering, 4" setback and jack plate, Faria gauges. New floor, stringers, and interior done just before I got it. I went through everything on it and she is a very nice boat. I am not pressed to sell it and it is damn fast in present state. Paint job is the only down side. I am very anal about my paint since I do custom paint work. PO did the job and tho it looks good with nice lines, there is runs in it. I have seen worse come out of bodyshops before but its not to my standards. I might try and sand and buff them out over the next few weeks. I am going to try and bring it to owners rally with me however no joy rides for tire kickers:p

Sweet. I might have to make another road trip:banana:

As long as Better half dosent :pissed: and bang my head aginst the :brickwall: OUCH. But it looks like one sweet ride.:drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:

Willing to take a loss as this is a down payment on a new toy. Make offer. Going on ebay. Going to sand and buff on the paint this weekend to get it up to standards. Such a fun boat to run. Don't get a basket case that needs tons of work as does not have enough power.

65mph on smooth water!

This boat gets my vote for the second most insane :bigthumb: Playmate, right behind the one Wildman built with the Promax :D

Price reduced to $4000. I am leaving in 2 weeks to go into a hospital in Jacksonville FL for 5 weeks. They are going to try and get my back fixed. Mean while, I sure will not be using this the rest of the year so I want it gone.

I have it at $2900.obo without power. This will come with hyd steering system and the jackplate. Plug in merc motor, 4 bolts and go. Would take 15 minutes for it to be running if you had a motor for it.

Cool boat, I bet its a blast to drive.
It was a blast to drive with the 50hp on it. With the 150 it is insanely fun. I was out on it all day today and went from Aurora, IN to Cincinnati, OH on the Ohio river. Great day for it and she ran like a dream. I set the Merc at 4k (about 45mph) and let it eat some water. 3 hours later, we were back loading it on the trailer and heading home :surf:

any solid bites yet? and i hope the down payment on the other toy is what i am thinking:cheers: good luck brian;)

Lots of tire kickers so far Ross. Had lots of guys very interested and one that was going to buy it but I said no. He was a big guy and I just didn't think he would ever fit. He was happy that I was so honest about it and did not have to make a day long trip to find out he would not fit!
Yes this is for my new toy :thumb:

At this time I really would like to find a mini hawk for a project. Hard to find though so who knows which direction I end up going. No hurry on my part as home project comes first this time wife says... :)
I've been known to corrupt her though before!

Mini hawks are cool! I looked at 1 before I bought the scat cat. IMO, the playmate is a better built and better looking boat. I am partial to my checkmates tho ;)

If it don't sell, I am going to try and paint it this spring. At that point I will just keep it and in time, throw a 50hp back on and start teaching my daughter how to drive :bigthumb: The graphics will match the big boat and it will be called "Mini-Me"

Very neat boat. I'll tell ya, that's what i'd do, keep it around for the kids. I'll be very interested in finding a nice playmate (or minihawk) for my kids in a year or so, just a bit too young for something like this. I'll poke around next Spring, if you still have it. I may be tempted to buy it and stash it for a bit :)

Me and Nick pulled the playmate back out of storage today. Motor is unbolted waiting for the new owner to come and pick it up tuesday. I picked up a 60hp mariner with power trim a few months back so it will be going on soon. If anyone is interested, LMK! I might try and ebay it but who knows :)
