Hey everyone i was wondering if anyone has a gathering in the Mass or NH lakes regions or is interested in having one. I know the Conn. river is a close one south of us.

where are you at? As far as I have seen there isnt a big get together in NH or mass, have seen people get together on Sebago. I'd be down for a get together on winni or newfound or something, I kick over that way occassionally. Hopefully getting wet this weekend:surf:
 
Ive been in since ice was out. LOL. Last day last year was dec 12. Half the lake was frozen. Keep in touch im always out there. Where you from. I live in Tyngsboro Mass
 
Ya they did. Dont know what they were thinkin there. LOL. Well im up for meeting new people and havin a gathering somewhere. I do have a party on the 4th of july every year. Been doin it for 10 years now. I will post something up on it and if you guys wanna come up for a party that would be cool. I have access to several launches if ya have boats.
 
Scream And Fly

The only event we have had for years on the Conneecticut River is the Scream And Fly meet on the 2nd or 3rd week of October,which is a lot of fun!!! There are many Checkmates on the Connecticut River every year but no regattas or meets!!! We hang on the Northern part of Gildersleeve Island all summer long,so if your on the river come on down.I have a 1984 Checkmate Convinsor and am there most weekends and open to a meet somewhere in New England!!!
 
June 11,12,13 Scream & fly has a get togther over here in upstate NY. on Great Sacandaga lake in Northville. We get a few checks here, the more the merrier. I will be there camping at North hampton state campsite. come on out its a great weekend. Another idea how is lake sunnapee in NH? I'm thinking about checking it out in August.
 
I'm in Hanover NH, up on the VT border, right on the connecticut.

Yeah, I dunno about winni, was there this weekend, and there was definitely some big boats going a lot faster than 45. From what I've heard from my buddy who has a house there, it hasnt made a huge difference in fast boats up there. As for me, still cant get much above 45 anyways :irked:

either way, im around and might hit one.
 
we did a checkmate get together at sebago a few years ago, it was pretty cool...its a good size lake, little choppy in a 16ft boat. i wouldn't recomend winni though for a get together, between the speed limit and the hundreds of marine patrol out there, they've ruined the fun on that lake.
 
That sucks. I agree though. They have ruined that. But i am interested in a little travel to have some fun. Im not worried about the speed. I think it would be cool just to cruise in a pack and park and hang out. There is also winnisquam. which is a decent lake. Im there often and the sand bar at the bridge is fun to.
 
I head up to NH a couple of time a year, mostly Winnipasauki with the family but I would be in for something on winnisquam. I've never been on it, but that sand bar near the bridge looks mighty inviting.
Maybe one of the local NH guys could set something up for mid August. Pick a weekend and let us know the best place to launch and see who shows up. I don't think you can lose on that deal, even if no one shows you still have a day on the lake.;)
 
well, i dont go to winni anymore with my boat. to loud and the speed limit sucks and the fish cops are everyplace you look. i will be there for bike week (thursday till sunday) but i will just be using my dads 26 outlaw. its easy as he keeps it at his slip so i just steel that.

however gatherings, we have a few. checkmate and others its all good.

june 26th we are doing a fun run from boston area down towards south shore, there will be everyything from graddy whites to checkmates to my buddies 38 fountain cruzer and my other buddys 38 triple outboard center con,
then we have the sebago poker run, last year i only saw 2 other checkmates besides mine, but a great great time.

then in august we have the webster poker run last year there was 3 other mates plus mine and we had a blast!!!!! small lake one guy did the run on a jet ski.

july 27th weekend is a big party at wingersheek beach in glouchester for my 30th b day. if you like to party i recomend coming out!! we are going to try to get party dancers for a while at night!!! should be insain.

in between all this i plan on doing another NOYZEE fun run atleast one or 2 this season. last year we did one run and had about 12 boats and we had a great time. im going to try to set up a nice little run ending some place close to where we drop but good for spending the night for those who want to.
should be a good year for boating if the weather hold.
starting this weekend, we should have atleast 5 boats going out of beverly area saturday and sunday.

Al those sound fun except the ocean ones. Only thing making me say that is i dont know how my 21' enchanter would be on the ocean. lol

the ocean ones are not bad most of the time. the wingersheek and noyzee fun runs we go places i have gone in my 18 foot CC and my old 20 foot stingray. it can get lumped up a bit.
the wingersheek run for my b day you can dump in right in the river. if its nice out you could run the outside of cape ann and around into winggi, if it sucks you take the river where you wont even see a bump. its more then fine
 
heading to winggi tomorrow spending the night till monday. got the report today water temps where 68* at low tide!!!!!!!

Connecticut River

On a average weekend there are at least 5 to 10 Checkmates on the River either cruising or at the sand bar at Goldersleeve Island!!!
 
If i was home this weekend i def woulda went. I met up with Kevin (SFC) from this site, down in the cape. It was awesome. Took the boat out in the bay. It did very well. I plan on takin a trip up there soon. I have no more planned vacations except my 4th of july party.
