Seems one of our finest had a bit to much at Red Eyes and about killed people according to the news. Looking at the pics, it looks like he got ran into to me. Guess if your drinking your automatically at fault.

Sure does but it looks like it was hit in the starboard side so from the pics it looks like the other boat should have yielded way. Assuming the other boat was the one pulling the tube it doesn't surprise me. I swear that when people hook up a tube they disconnect their brain. Almost every time I got out I see at least one person pulling a tube that is completely oblivious to everything else on the water. I understand that the fun part is getting whipped from side to side but just because you're pulling something doesn't mean you can weave all over without any regard for anyone else on the water. You can't judge what they are going to do next because they are weaving all over the place. Was Dwyer driving the bowrider? I didn't see it in the article.

I bet the guy pulling the tube was looking back...not paying attention...we almost got hit head on a few years ago that way...we were in out 34 sea ray flybridge, coming into the entrance to out creek, guy came right at us, everytime we move he did right at us...but never looked our way !!! could see him clearly....we could see person on the tube pointing !!! we passed less than 20' !!!! scary !!!

Dwyer, who is my district's legislator BTW, was driving the Baja. He had a blood alcohol of 0.2 %.

I don't know what happens in a case where it looks like you have the right-of-way, but you're stinking drunk.

Yeah it don't matter who's at fault, the drunk guy's screwed, 0.20 is really drunk too, when I was 19 I got picked up for a DUI and blew a 0.18 and I was wasted, could barely walk at 0.18, this guy must have had 30 beer before this happened.
