Bilge Paint

Looks like I'm going to have to pull my Engine to replace the Coupler. I was thinking while I had it out it would be a good opportunity to clean and repaint the Bilge. Any recommendations for a good paint to use? Thanks

What kind of hardener, does Rustoleum make an enamel hardener or some kind of automotive universal hardener for single stage paint???

Just plain ole single-stage tractor enamel paint hardener. increases shine and is hard as a rock when it dries. I did the bilge of my 253 with it and it held up awesome. I'll likely do my PQ bilge with it too when engines come out.

Pick a light color when you do it. My Eluder came from the factory with the bilge painted black. I switched to light grey and then could see down there under the motor if I dropped anything or the motor was leaking.

I had it suggested to do the very bottom of the V of bilge under motor in black. That way if the Coasties inspect you, they will have a hard time seeing any oil. I did it on my 253, but yes it makes finding anything down there hard!
