Bravo 1 High Performance Drive

Since I am upgrading power, it is time to sell my 1999 Bravo 1 H.P. drive. With the exception of a couple of scratches on the skeg, the drive looks like new. The boat has always been stored in a high and dry marina, never left in the water over night. It is a 1.50 ratio, standard length. Has about 300 hours on it. Oil was changed every 30 hours with Merc. high performance oil.

Hi Salt222

Sorry to say but you can't interchange a Bravo in place of an Alpha they are completly different.

bdusted,
I am in no hurry to sell it. I have the room to store it. It is in perfect shape. If you want I can send you a few additional pictures. You wont be dissapointed with this drive. It wil come with a shower, and a Teague billet upper bearing cap. Both have been on this drive since new. The only thing pictured that is not included is the Imco rear cap for the hydraulic steering. I put the stock one back on. The drive has always been behind my stock 454 magnum. It has never seen big power. I am looking for $2,000.

By the way,how does that 4 blade prop run? What pitch, model?Im running a 23 Mirage but am wondering if a 4 blade would be better?

I am not sure what the rated h.p. for a Bravo 1 is, but I think it is about 500. My new motor is way above that, so I picked up a Teague "XR" upper and an Imco "XR" lower. That prop in the picture is a labbed ( http://www.throttle-up.com/ ) 26 Bravo 1. My stock 454 magnum would turn it to 4950 rpm and get about 68 mph on gps.

Cool vinyy as soon as berry gets done with my boat ill have to take a road trip for the drive. You dont have a t/a assembly too do ya?
PM me .

Note to self.
Things to do this winter:
1. Fill hole in transom. Before I paint the boat.
2. Keep my eye out for a gimbal assembly.
3. Remind bd that Barry is spelled with an a not an e like the little fruit.

4. Hide Mustang from the old man so it doesn't come up missing. Only to appear later as the car from the movie "Bullit"
