2011 opti 300 jack-plate/ hardtop/windlass, trailer. Really nice shape. It's on yachtworld or boat trader with a broker.
 
I have had an order through Tinus Marine in Wisconsin since all the legal drama started. I never got out of line for the boat. I just had a call with Tim Tinus and he confirmed they are back in business with Caldwell and actively making boats.

He said Checkmate made the executive decision to get caught up on all their backordered 24 ft boat sales first. When those are done, they will start on the 21 ft backorders. After that, the new orders will begin.
 
just saw in the latest boating magazine they are in Washington NC now in a new add. Looks like same owners and they only advertise the 24BRX-
My 25 CC is gone so maybe a BRX is in the future😎

Yes they are in NC. They are only advertising the 2400 because they are still going through all their backorders from the Covid era drama. I personally have an order in for a 2100, so i know they will make those. Pete Caldwell owns it now and i had a phone call with him recently. He said they are prepping the 2100 mold to start on those backorders now. So i know they’ll at least have those two models
 
that’s great, 2 really is all they need. I have owned a few Checkmates over the years, the CC i got rid of was nice but the center console market is so packed they really don’t need to venture into fishing boats. Smaller speed boats are the way to go…in my opinion
 
I just noticed that a KY dealer had a new 2025 Checkmate BRX 2400 with a 300R listed for $149,000!!! That was MRSP with the trailer. I own the 2nd last 2020 long deck 2400 / 300R built in Bucyrus, and I enjoy the boat, but $150k would be a tough pill for me to swallow if I was in the market for buying one. I realize that Pete has made improvements and removed all wood in the construction and I realize prices have increased ( I think a new 22 - 23 Velocity with identical power is around $130K and it is a faster boat. Hell you can buy a 23 OSX Stingray with a 300 Suzy (rated at 70 mph) for $90K. That boat is rated for a 350 HP outboard which should put it around 73 mph, which is similar to the Caldwell Checkmates with 300R's. I am happy to see that P. Caldwell has kept the Checkmate brand alive, but it appears that the 2400 Checkmate has really become an upscale family performance boat. When I bought mine, Bucyrus was building about 6 boats / year and I think Pete is building more which is great to keep the brand alive.
 
Im curious what the warranty is on these boats? The way Caldwell treated a customer boat that was brand new and almost sunk on its maiden voyage, and refused to honor any warranty. I sure hope for $150k its not an "as is" at your own risk sale.
